ABIGAIL YOUNG - Parole Review status as of 4/30/13

Post by Ann - Tx on Thu May 02, 2013 11:34 am

ALERT - - Abigail Young is in parole review status again as of 4/30/13

On 4/30/13, I received an e-mail indicating that Abigail Young is in parole review status as of 4/30/13. I spoke to a representative from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) Parole Division via phone this morning. She said that letters opposing Abigail Young's parole should be submitted no later than 5/30/13. . . . the sooner letters are submitted; the better!

Many of you wrote a letter opposing parole for Abigail Young last year (2012). In August, 2012, the Texas Board of Pardons & Paroles (TBPP) denied Abigail Young parole. As is current Texas law, Abigail Young is up for parole review again. She will be eligible for parole every year until she is either paroled or until she serves her 20 year sentence.

To support justice for precious Emma Thompson, please write a letter to the Texas Board of Pardons & Paroles opposing parole for Abigail Young. Your letter opposing parole for Abigail Young is important and counts! Please help keep Abigail Young in a Texas prison where she belongs. Young does NOT deserve to be paroled! Precious Emma Thompson was barely 4 years old when she was brutally raped and murdered by Lucas Coe, Abigail Young's then boyfriend. Abigail Young failed to protect her daughter, precious Emma Thompson.

You do NOT have to be a resident of Texas. Any one from all over the world can write a letter to TBPP opposing Abigail Young's parole.

Protest letters regarding the parole of Abigail Young can be mailed, e-mailed or FAXed. All letters MUST contain Young's pertinent Texas Department of Criminal Justice info (see blue hi-lite below). If you do NOT include Young's pertinent info, your letter will NOT be submitted to the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles - Abigail Young parole review.

Letters can me mailed, e-mailed or FAX and MUST include Abigail Young's pertinent TDCJ info:

Reference: Young, Abigail
State ID: 08428403

Placed on Parole Review: 4/30/13

Please, please write a letter opposing Abigail Young's parole. Thank you for your continued support of justice for precious Emma Thompson!

KWHI - Brenham, TX: Abigail Young up for parole again

Post by Ann - Tx on Fri May 03, 2013 11:17 am

ABIGAIL YOUNG UP FOR PAROLE AGAIN

(MAY 3RD, 2013) FSW

KWHI - Brenham, TX

Abigail Young, the former Brenham nurse convicted of ignoring the abuse of her daughter, Emma Thompson four years ago, is up for parole again. Ed Pothul has this report.

The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles began the review process in the case of Abigail Young this week.

Young was arrested after her first day at work at the then Trinity Medical Center in August of 2009. She is currently serving a 20 year sentence after a jury found that she ignored and neglected her daughter, while her boyfriend, Lucas Coe beat and raped her until she died in the summer of 2009.

Coe is serving a life without parole sentence in a prison unit in Beeville.

The Texas VINE Network made the notification. The notification says that anyone who opposes the parole of Young should write letters, send emails of send faxes about the case. The messages need to reference Abigail Young.

You can get further information by emailing victim.svc@tdcj.state.tx.us.

House Bill 431 (Emma's Law) passed by the Texas House of Representatives: Update

Post by Ann - Tx on Fri May 03, 2013 4:33 pm

Today I called and spoke to a clerk with the Corrections Committee - Texas House of Representatives (Austin, TX). Before typing this, I wanted to be certain that I was understanding the status of HB 431 correctly. I am sorry that I have not done this sooner but I've had major broadband problems (no Internet).

Great news! HB 431 passed the Texas House of Representatives on 4/26/13 and was sent to the Texas Senate on 4/29/13. It will go through a similar process as it did in the House (3 readings, etc). However, it should move quickly as there are 31 Senators.

Any hearings (Senate) involving HB 431 which is now in the Senate will be available for viewing via video at the Texas Legislature site.

This is the Link:

The following info pertains to when HB 431 was still in the House and had not passed yet. It was amended twice on 4/25/13. Amended to be known as "Emma's Law" and the second amendment was to indicate when and under what conditions this bill would become law if passed.

On the second reading, HB 431 was amended by State House Representative Debbie Riddle who authored the bill to read, "Emma's Law."

Amendment No. 1

Representative Riddle offered the following amendment to
:
Amend CSHBi431 (house committee report) by adding the following
appropriately numbered SECTION to the bill and renumbering the remaining
SECTIONS of the bill accordingly:

SECTIONi____.iiThis Act may be cited as Emma s’ Law.
Amendment No. 1 was adopted.

Amendment No. 2

Representative Riddle offered the following amendment to CSHBi431:

Amend CSHBi431 (house committee printing) by striking SECTION 5 of
the bill (page 3, line 23) and substituting the following:

SECTIONi5.iiThis Act takes effect immediately if it receives a vote of
two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as provided by Section 39,
Article III, Texas Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for
immediate effect, this Act takes effect September 1, 2013.

Amendment No. 2 was adopted.

State of Texas Legislature 83rd Session - 2013

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For your info, by Texas law, the 83rd Legislative session ends 5/27/13 and the Texas legislatures will not meet again until January, 2015. The exception is if Texas Governor Rick Perry calls a Special Session. If so, Gov. Perry would state what the Special Session will entail and no other matters can be discussed except what was indicated by Gov. Perry when a Special Session is called.
A very reliable source indicated to me that if HB 431 (Emma's Law) is passed, it will probably be within the next 2 weeks.
In my opinion, I think HB 431 (Emma's Law) will become law during this 83rd Legislative session! Just my opinion!
This will be an every year thing for the next 17 years, unless she gets paroled, or dies before then. Hopefully, it will be the later.
justanopinion, it was 2012 (thru May, 2012) that we wrote letters protesting parole for Abigail Young. The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles denied Abigail Young parole the latter part of August, 2012.
Per current Texas law, Abigail Young will come up for parole review each year until she is paroled or serves her 20 year sentence.
In 2012 many folks supported justice for Emma by writing and protesting parole for her mother, Abigail Young. Without a doubt, the letters were effective.
Every letter is important and every letter counts! Letters can be as simple as: "I am against parole for Abigail Young. Please do not grant Abigail Young parole. Thank you!"
Thank you so very much, justanopinion, for being Emma's voice and writing a letter protesting parole for Abigail Young. Please encourage your friends to write a letter too.
Hi, sitemama!
You are correct. Per current Texas law, Abigail Young will be up for parole review every year. It is really hard on Emma's family to have to relive the horrific, brutal rape and murder of barely 4-year-old Emma Thompson each year.
sitemama, I hope you will be a voice for Emma and write a letter. I know your daughter was murdered and I bet you know what it is like for Emma's family to go through a parole review for Abigail Young every year.
If you can take the time to write a letter . . . thank you, sitemama, for being a voice for precious Emma Thompson!
Be a voice for Emma Thompson and write a letter opposing parole for Abigail Young!
Post by Ann - Tx on Sun May 05, 2013 3:09 pm
Please write a letter opposing/protesting parole for Abigail Young!
Abigail Young has served less than 3 years of a 20 year sentence and it is NOT justice for her daughter and the VICTIM:
precious, barely 4-years-old Emma Thompson!
As a mother and a Registered Nurse, Abigail Young failed to protect her daughter, Emma.
Your letter can be as simple as: "I oppose parole for Abigail Young."
Or you can write whatever you want opposing parole for Abigail Young. You can include Links to articles and pictures.
Letters can be mailed, e-mailed or FAXed and MUST include Abigail Young's pertinent TDCJ info (hi-lited in blue - see below):
Texas Dept. of Criminal Justice
Victim Services Division
8712 Shoal Creek Blvd., Ste. 265
Austin, TX 78757-6899
Email: victim.svc@tdcj.state.tx.us
Fax: (512) 452-0825
Reference: Young, Abigail
State ID: 08428403
TDCJ ID: 01668233
Placed on Parole Review: 4/30/13
~~~~~~~

In 2012, many RC and Hinky Meter members and guests wrote letters opposing parole for Abigail Young. Writing letters was effective as Young was denied parole in August, 2012.

Per current TX law, Young will be eligible for parole every year until she is paroled or she serves her 20 year sentence.

Do you think Abigail Young deserves to be paroled?

Keep Abigail Young in prison where she belongs! Write a letter to the Texas Board of Pardons & Paroles and be a voice for her daughter, Emma Thompson.

You do NOT have to be a U. S. citizen or TX resident to write a letter. Any one in the world can write the Texas Board of Pardons & Paroles and oppose parole for Abigail Young!

Your letter is important and it counts!

Thanks to all who will take the time and be a voice for precious Emma Thompson!

pdf: Fourteenth Court of Appeals - Majority Opinion: Affirmed and Opinion Filed 1/10/12 - Abigail Elizabeth Young

Post by Ann - Tx on Sun May 05, 2013 5:24 pm

For those who may have forgotten some of the details regarding Abigail Young and her many lies regarding Lucas Coe and her daughter, Emma Thompson, please read the "pdf" from 2012 (see Link below) - Fourteenth Court of Appeals - Majority Opinion: Affirmed and Opinion Filed 1/10/12 - Abigail Elizabeth Young

For your info, on 7-12-10, Abigail Young was found guilty of causing injury to a child by omission, but the jury found that she did so recklessly rather than knowingly and intentionally. Unfortunately, it was the lesser charge. Had it been knowingly and intentionally, Young could have been sentenced to Life in Prison without Parole.

On 7-13-10, Abigail Young was sentenced to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. She was taken into custody after sentencing. She is currently incarcerated in a Texas Department of Criminal Justice prison in Gatesville, Tx. (For your info, Lucas Coe was sentenced to Life without Parole and will never be eligible for parole)

Abigail Young did not express remorse for the death of Emma Thompson at her sentencing but her attorneys filed an Appeal of her conviction which was Affirmed (denied) by the Fourteenth Court of Appeals in Houston, Harris County, Tx. Then Young's attorneys filed a Motion for a Rehearing. That was OVERRULED by the Fourteenth Court of Appeals on 2/29/12.

The Opinion affirming Young's Appeal by the Fourteenth Court of Appeals is an informative summary of some of Abigail Young's trial testimony and facts of evidence.

WARNING: Contains graphic content

http://www.search.txcourts.gov/SearchMedia.aspx?MediaVersionID=f6e25fd4-bf48-4d95-883a-c7cf06d16818&coa=coa14&DT=Opinion&MediaID=b05639cf-5420-445d-a9d2-ac2598fbe107
Fourteenth Court of Appeals - Majority Opinion: Affirmed and Opinion Filed 1/10/12 - Abigail Elizabeth Young

After reading this, do you think Abigail Young should be granted parole after serving less than 3 years of a 20 year sentence?

It is clearly evident that Abigail Young did whatever to protect Lucas Coe and his daughter (give them time to get away) while others gave her daughter, Emma Thompson, CPR and tried to revive her. Abigail Young did not give her daughter CPR before EMS arrived but others did.

If you do Facebook, please "like" Justice For Emma Thompson.

This facebook page was set up by LCoastMom (a child's advocate and strong supporter of justice for Emma Thompson) last year to encourage folks to write letters to the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles and oppose parole for Abigail Young.

Justice For Emma Thompson facebook page was mentioned in an article which was in the Brenham Banner-Press (Brenham, TX) last week. It has been mentioned by other main stream media in the past. I think that is remarkable!

Currently there are 1,709 "likes."

Justice For Emma Thompson facebook page mentioned in Brenham Banner-Press article

Post by Ann - Tx on Mon May 06, 2013 9:09 am

As stated before, Brenham, TX is Abigail Young's hometown.

The following is snipped from an article that was on the front page of the Brenham Banner-Press, Brenham, TX on Saturday, May 4, 2013.

Notice that the facebook page Justice For Emma Thompson is mentioned in the article. It is the facebook page set up by LCoastMom in 2012.

In the past, other main stream media have also mentioned Justice For Emma Thompson facebook page! Way to go LCoastMom!

Snipped:

The Parole Board last August voted against releasing Young. It was the first time her parole was up for consideration.

A spokesman with the Board of Pardons & Paroles said the reason given for denial of Young's probation was "the nature of the crime."

Some family members last year advocated that Young not be released on parole, and efforts to keep her imprisoned included a facebook page called "Justice For Emma Thompson" that solicited comments to the board asking that parole be denied.

Letter from March, 2012, by EMS crew member who responded to 911 call for Emma Thompson

Post by Ann - Tx on Mon May 06, 2013 10:46 am

Ann - Tx wrote:
The following letter was sent to Justice For Emma Thompson facebook and she has permission to post it on the facebook page, Justice For Emma Thompson.

For your info, during the trials of Abigail Young and Lucas Coe, testimony and cell phone records introduced into evidence by the Prosecution indicated that Abigail Young was on her cell phone while strangers were tending to Emma, giving CPR to Emma (in an effort to revive Emma) until EMS arrived. Abigail Young was a Registered Nurse at the time! As EMS worked to revive Emma, Abigail Young was on her cell phone.

Posted on Justice For Emma Thompson facebook page:

Justice For Emma received a letter today from one of the FIRST RESPONDERS who covered the 911 call for Emma Thompson. With permission I am sharing the letter they sent to the Texas Parole Board:
_______

I am writing you to request that Abigail Young be kept in custody of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. I do not feel like she has served enough of her sentence to be granted freedom.

I was on the Cypress Creek EMS crew that responded to the 911 call for Emma. I have been a volunteer firefighter with Klein for the past 5 years and a volunteer driver/EMT with Cypress Creek EMS for almost 4 years. I can honestly say that this is the only call out of hundreds that sticks with me to this day. It isn’t just Emma’s young age that has affected me but it is the brutality of the crime. I can’t even fathom how a parent could allow their child to be treated in such a manner and not step in to protect them. Abigail Young violated the most basic of parental responsibilities which is to protect them from harm at all costs. And for what? A boyfriend? How selfish can a person be to let their boyfriend treat their child like this, with full knowledge that these atrocities are occurring?

I never felt like Ms. Young really felt very bad about what happened. In fact it wasn’t until we went en-route to the hospital that Ms. Young decided to hang up her cell phone. Not to mention that she; a registered nurse; was not performing CPR on her own child when we arrived on scene. She was allowing bystanders to do it. I am sure that if it was your child you would be doing everything possible to help, not talking on the phone. I personally do not feel like a person with Ms. Young’s mentality should be let off easy after serving the bare minimum of her sentence. She needs to continue to serve out her sentence so she can think about all of the people that her actions affected, not to mention Emma’s death.

Bumping!

This letter was sent to the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles last year (March, 2012) when Abigail Young was up for parole review.

It is from one of the crew members of the Cypress Creek EMS who responded to the 911 call for Emma Thompson in June, 2009.

That letter says it all, doesn't it? It's pretty clear to me that Abigail Young doesn't deserve to be outside of prison walls. I hope the parole board continues to deny her request for parole.Thank you for your dedication to little Emma, Ann-Tx.

Message from Laurie Thompson, Emma Thompson's paternal grandmother (5/6/13)

Post by Ann - Tx on Mon May 06, 2013 9:04 pm

Laurie Thompson, Emma's paternal grandmother, posted the following on Justice For Emma Thompson facebook page (set up by LCoastMom in 2012).

Laurie Thompson (4 hrs ago -- May 6, 2013)

Many thanks to Ann Davids for her dilgence in posting updates to this Facebook page.

Please take the time to re-send letters opposing the parole of Abigail Young.

Please help give our family the time and peace of mind we need to grieve and console each other without looking over our shoulders or wondering when she will appear in a grocery store, playground, or restaurant.

Please let Emma rest in peace and help guarantee the safety of all our children throughout Texas! Emma's Law (HB 431) will go a long way to do just that!

I did as you asked and sent the letter. I am praying that the monster who let little Emma die will spend the rest of her days in prison.

Bumping this thread!

If you are dedicated to seeking justice for victims, now is your opportunity to do just that!

Please be a voice for Emma Thompson and write a letter opposing parole for her mother, Abigail Young, who is up for parole review again and has served less than 3 years of a 20 year sentence for failing to protect her precious child, Emma.

Emma died a horrific and painful death per trial testimony during the trials of Abigail Young and then later Lucas Coe.

Emma was brutally raped and beaten to death by Lucas Coe. Trial testimony indicated Abigail Young did nothing to protect her precious daughter, Emma.

Young did protect Lucas Coe though. She lied to doctors, investigators, her estranged husband, CPS (after Emma's doctor reported to CPS that Emma Thompson had genital herpes in the vaginal and rectum areas, mouth, hands and thighs.), her now former best friend, neighbors, etc.

Abigail Young even gave Lucas Coe and his young daughter the opportunity to get away from her home instead of calling 911 from her home the night Emma died.

Young loaded up Emma in her car and drove down the road from her home, stopped, pulled Emma out of the car. Others stopped and gave Emma CPR to try to revive Emma while Abigail Young walked in the median and talked on her cell phone.

As a Registered Nurse, Abigail Young did not even give her child CPR!

Lucas Coe went to Young's neighbor's home and told her the emergency lights flashing down the road (which could be seen from the home) was for Emma . . . . that Abigail and Emma were down the road.

Lucas Coe made a phone call to his mother and told her that Emma is dead. Cell phone records introduced into evidence at Coe's trial (and Young's trial too) indicated that Coe made that phone call before Abigail Young even called him from the road where EMS was working on Emma to revive her.

Apparently, Emma Thompson was dead when Abigail Young put her in the car and drove down the road.

All to protect Lucas Coe! Lucas Coe was not suppose to be around his own daughter unless supervised per CPS. So it was important to Lucas Coe and Abigail Young that Coe get away from the area before law enforcement showed up.

Please write a letter opposing Abigail Young's parole. Be a voice for Emma Thompson!

Please see this comment on how to e-mail (or mail; or fax) a letter opposing parole for Young.

Your letter can be as simple as:

"I oppose parole for Abigail Young."

The current deadline date for writing a letter to the Texas Board of Pardons & Paroles opposing parole for Abigail Young is:

5/30/13

Please write your letter immediately to ensure it will be included in Abigail Young's file which is being forwarded to TBPP as letters are received.

I intend to bump this thread frequently until 5/30/13.

We have many members here at RC. Last year (2012) many wrote letters opposing Abigail Young's parole and without a doubt, letters had influence with TBPP. They denied parole for Abigail Young in August, 2012.

We have many new members here and I encourage all members to please write a letter and oppose parole for Abigail Young.

As stated earlier, if you seek justice for victims, this is the perfect opportunity to do something to seek continued justice for Emma Thompson. She no longer has a voice but you can be her voice.

Once again, thank you in advance, for caring enough and seeking justice by opposing parole for Abigail Young.

Serving less than 3 years of a 20 year sentence is NOT acceptable for the brutal, horrific death (rape and beaten by Lucas Coe) of barely 4-year-old Emma Thompson!

Abigail Young failed to protect her daughter and she was sentenced to 20 years in July, 2010. She should serve every day of that 20 year sentence.

Hi, Weezie!

Thank you so very much for being a voice for little Emma Thompson.

We need lots of letters to oppose parole for Abigail Young, Emma's so called mother.

Emma's mother and highly trained Registered Nurse (at the time of Emma's death), Abigail Young, has served less than 3 years of a 20 year sentence.

Due to the horrific and brutal nature of the crime and death of her precious daughter, Emma, Abigail Young does not deserve to be paroled!

No child should have to endure a slow and painful death due to being raped and beaten to death.

Emma was barely 4 years old. Her little vagina was huge and torn almost to her rectum and her lip was busted and almost severed from the inside of her mouth. She had a huge cracked skull (fracture) and many internal injuries including severed pancreas. She also had over 80 bruises and contusions.

I saw the pictures that were introduced as evidence at the trial for Lucas Coe. These pictures were also introduced as evidence at Abigail Young's trial.

Many horrific pictures of Emma at the Emergency Room of Memorial Hermann Hospital - The Woodlands, TX and of her autopsy were introduced into evidence at the trials of Young and Coe. They are pictures I will never, ever forget and are ingrained in my memory forever. It was difficult to recognize Emma. That is how horrific the pictures of Emma were.

I see the picture of Emma in the bluebonnets on Easter Sunday, 2009, at the family ranch and at Christmas, 2008 in her little robe which was a Christmas gift. She was a very happy child back then. It was before her mother, Abigail Young, brought Lucas Coe into her life and before Emma's dad and mom separated.

lostyou, thank you so very much for being a voice for precious Emma Thompson.

Your letter, like all letters opposing parole for Abigail Young, is important and it will be read by the Texas Board of Pardons & Paroles (TBPP). Every letter is read!

It will take many letters opposing or protesting parole for Abigail Young. We did it last year and I know we can do it again this year! TBPP denied Young parole last year in August, 2012.

Re: Emma Thompson -- Deceased 6/27/09 (Thread #1)

Post by Ann - Tx on Fri May 10, 2013 9:47 am

Hi, lostyou!

HB431 (Emma's Law) is a bill introduced into the 2013 Texas Legislative Session (Austin, TX) regarding parole of convicted felons who commit felonies against children.

It would give the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles latitude regarding parole reviews. It would allow for a 5 year off-set versus yearly off-set. Per current Texas law, folks like Abigail Young are eligible for an annual parole review.

This bill will help future families of child victims where felonies have been committed against a child. Unless HB 431 is amended, it will not apply to Abigail Young or other felons who were convicted of crimes against children prior to this bill becoming law.

However, there is a possibility that this bill could be amended by the Senate and sent back to the House for approval.

If passed, this bill would be named Emma's Law to honor Emma Thompson.

It has passed the Texas House of Representatives:

139 Yeas, 0 Nays, 2 Present, not voting. The 2 Present, not voting: They were away from their desk when the vote was taken.

It was then forwarded to the Texas Senate.

It will go through a similar approval process. This week the first reading was held. If this bill passes and becomes law, it will happen within the next 2 weeks. This legislative session will end on 5/27/13. The next legislative session is in 2015. Exceptions are if Texas Governor Rick Perry calls a "Special Session" during that time frame.

Here is a Link to HB431 (Emma's Law) as it was introduced into the Texas legislative process:

State of Texas Legis. - HB 431 - Introduced Version - Bill Text -- Texas State Representative Debbie Riddle

Snipped from HB 431 (Emma's Law)

SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only
to an offense committed on or after the effective date of this Act.
An offense committed before the effective date of this Act is
governed by the law in effect on the date the offense was committed,
and the former law is continued in effect for that purpose. For
purposes of this section, an offense was committed before the
effective date of this Act if any element of the offense occurred
before that date.

The videos below were created in loving memory of Emma Thompson by Piper, a Reality Chatter member.

I will have to post each video in a separate comment box due to tech difficulties today. It appears that this thread has "locked" because Page 20 is full. I will need J4A's help. In the interim, I guess I will be forced to start a new thread. I hope J4A can fix it where Emma has only one thread instead of multiple threads.

I still say, "Piper, special thanks for the beautiful videos you created to honor Emma Thompson."

The song used in this video, "Sissy's Song" by Alan Jackson was played at Emma Thompson's Memorial Service on 8/13/09 in Spring, TX (Houston area).

Remembering Emma Thompson . . . 5 years later . . .

Post by Ann - Tx on Fri Jun 27, 2014 10:19 pm

The following has been posted on the Emma Thompson - Deceased (Thread #2).  I think it is most appropriate that it also be posted on this thread: Thread #1.

Remembering Emma Thompson . . . 5 years later . . .

Today, 6/27/14, is five (5) years that precious Emma Thompson
was officially pronounced dead at the Emergency Room of a hospital
in The Woodlands, TX.

Some believe that Emma was dead long before she arrived at the
Emergency Room.

Emma died a brutal, horrific death in 2009. She was barely four (4) years old.

On 3/29/14, Emma would have been 9 years old.

Emma may be gone but she will never, ever be forgotten!

Gone . . . but not forgotten!

Soar with the angels, precious Emma!    afro

You are now safe in God's loving care and no one will ever hurt you
again.

20,852 Views of Emma Thompson threads! Awesome!

Post by Ann - Tx on Fri Jun 27, 2014 11:02 pm

Emma Thompson's case did not get continuous national media attention but did get coverage by various media outlets in the state of Texas.

As of this date, 6/27/14, Emma's two threads here, at Reality Chatter,  total 20,852 views!

Thread # 1:  14,807 views
Thread # 2:    6,045 views
                  ___________

Total:       20, 852 views as of 6/27/14 - 9:40 p.m. CDT

Emma Thompson captured the hearts of many!  20,852 views . . .   awesome!

Special thanks to all who cared enough about Emma to read about her brutal, horrific death and support justice for Emma Thompson!

Once again . . . thanks to all who took the time and wrote the Texas Board of Pardons & Paroles to protest Abigail Young's parole review.
As we all know, in 2013 (second parole review) Young was denied parole again and has to serve 5 more years before parole consideration.

Special thanks to the owners of Reality Chatter, FystyAngel and Justice4All, for allowing Emma Thompson's case to have a thread (now 2 threads) here and be featured in your forum.

 20,852 views is an impressive number.  There were so many folks world wide that supported justice for precious Emma Thompson!  Many, many thanks for your support of justice for Emma!

Bumping!

I received a few e-mails inquiring about who made this banner (pic) for Emma Thompson.

This beautiful banner was created by TanJa Jacobsen and in April, 2012,  posted to Justice For Emma Thompson Facebook page (the Facebook page created by a longtime child's advocate from California and the page that was instrumental in getting several thousand people to write letters opposing parole for Abigail Young in 2012 and 2013.)  Please do NOT confuse this Facebook page with Emma ForJustice Facebook page.

Justice For Emma Thompson is the Facebook page that has been mentioned in several media articles regarding protesting parole for Abigail Young in 2012 and 2013.  It is an open Facebook page and currently has 2,230 likes!

Credit for above photo/banner:  TanJa Jacobsen

It should be noted that many world-wide members and guests of several noted crime forums (such as Reality Chatter, Websleuths and The Hinky Meter [when it existed]) were also instrumental in the "Letter Campaign Opposing Parole for Abigail Young" in 2012 and 2013.

Every letter counted and every letter was read by the Texas Board of Pardons & Paroles.

So . . . once again, special thanks to all who took the time to write a letter in 2012 and in 2013 opposing Abigail Young's parole and support justice for Emma Thompson.  Without your help, perhaps Abigail Young would have been paroled long ago . . .  and that would not have been continued justice for Emma.
