I hope this family gets their dog back unharmed. He's so cute. He reminds me of a dog we had when I was growing up.

Oh no!! This is dognapping! Those thieves better be taking good care of this little guy and bring him home! It's bad enough for petty criminals to invade your home and steal your personal belongings, this is heartless. I hope he's brought home soon.

Bring Remy Home

snipped:

"After learning this morning about Remy, the Shih Tzu that was stolen from the home of a Woodridge family, we thought about how we could help and came up with something tried and true" said Dr. Robyn Barbiers, president of The Anti-Cruelty Society. "We are offering the person or persons who took Remy, the opportunity to bring the dog to The Anti-Cruelty Society or to make arrangements to get Remy to us, no questions asked, and we will make sure Remy is reunited with her family."

I pray the dog is returned home to the children. He's so cute. How heartless but money can be had for pure-bred dogs and cats.

He is actually a shih tzu & poodle mix.

The ACS article also said: Remy is a former rescue dog from an Ohio shelter.

Those are still worth a good nickel, too. Here they sell for $200 as puppies. I wonder what a 3 year old dog would go for. My 4 year old mini poodle was bought for $50 (and was worth every penny!).

Anti-Cruelty Society Joins Search For Stolen Dog

January 13, 2011 9:01 AM

snipped:
Police can’t figure out why. Remy isn’t purebred and isn’t worth a lot for resale; he was adopted from an out-of-state home.

Now, the Anti-Cruelty Society is getting involved. President Dr. Robyn Barbiers says the agency will be a go-between to appeal to the thieves’ better angels.

“Bring it to us, no questions asked, and we will get the dog reunited with the family,” Barbiers said.

Remy was still in his kennel, correct? I hope they will have a heart and turn him over so he can go home to the family that loves him.

Yes, he was in it when they took him. I hope they return him too. I'd be so heartbroken!
