Coastal Bend Wildlife Photo Contest winners preserve area's nature through images

CORPUS CHRISTI — Rolf Nussbaumer of New Braunfels re-established himself as the photographer to beat in Texas by winning his second Coastal Bend Wildlife Photo Contest.

Winners were announced this past weekend during a banquet at the Richard M. Borchard Fairgrounds in Robstown, honoring the top five grand prize winners. This year's contest spanned nine months and included 70 amateur and professional photographers who captured images of birds and other wildlife, plants, insects and landscapes at 65 Coastal Bend ranches.
