Burglars Hit Home of Gun Owner ID’d by Newspaper

“The same elitist eggheads who use their editorial page to coddle terrorists and criminals are now treating law abiding citizens like level three sexual predators,” he said. “This is not about the Second Amendment; these bills are simply about commonsense and personal privacy. Publishing this information on a website, as we have evidently just witnessed in the recent attempted gun burglary, provides criminals with a map of where they can steal firearms from lawful owners for later use in the commission of crimes.

A Cape Breton teenager found guilty of second-degree murder for stabbing his girlfriend more than 100 times has been sentenced as an adult to life in prison.
Melvin Skeete Jr., who was 16 years old at the time of the incident, was sentenced Monday in Nova Scotia Youth Court to life in prison with no chance of parole until Dec. 3, 2017.
That will mark seven years since Skeete Jr. killed Brittany Green, a 17-year-old woman from Glace Bay. She had 104 wounds, from several different knives, one of which was broken off in her body.
The identities of both parties were previously protected by the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
"F--k these people, man," Skeete Jr. said as he was led out of the courtroom on Monday.
"F--k the judge, f--k the police, f--k the system."

Philadelphia, Penns:
'I've been stolen' missing Philadelphia girl says to rescuer after leaving William C. Bryant School

" Darby said the suspect went into the school Monday a short time after the girl’s mother had dropped her off there. The woman signed in with a hall monitor — using an illegible signature — and then went straight to the girl’s classroom. “She indicated that she was the child’s mother,” Darby said. “And that she was going to take the child to breakfast.”

" A passer-by found an abducted 5-year-old girl huddled beneath a playground slide in the pre-dawn cold Tuesday, nearly 20 hours after a stranger claiming to be her mother signed her out of her Philadelphia elementary school under the guise of taking her to breakfast."

" “Community policing is doing right when (you) see something wrong,” McDonald said."

Dontrell Melvin, Hallandale Beach, FL
Missing July 2011, 5 mo. old

" Flournoy said the missing person case has turned into a homicide investigation. Police are arranging for a specialist to further examine the remains, which were found in the backyard of a house where the parents once lived, in the 100 block of Northwest First Avenue in Hallandale Beach.

"We are investigating a homicide," Flournoy said. "Are the parents suspects? Yes."

The arrests of Calvin Melvin Jr., 27, and Brittney Sierra, 21, were announced by police earlier Friday, before the remains were found. The parents were held on child neglect charges after they allegedly admitted they failed to provide adequate care for the child, Flournoy said."

“The evidence has led us to believe that their conspiracy -- to hide the whereabouts of the child after the child was missing -- is apparent,” Flournoy said."

Authorities Search For 6-Month-Old Baby, Believed To Be Taken By Family Members

Friday January 18, 2013 | UPDATED: Saturday January 19, 2013 7:48 AM

NEWARK, Ohio - Police in Newark are looking for a 6-month-old girl that may be in danger.

Nicayla Jordan is believed to be with family members.

Authorities told 10TV that Licking County Children Services went to take the baby into custody on Wednesday, but her grandmother refused to give the baby to authorities.

The child's mother, Amanda Jordan, 25, was released from jail on Friday.

Police are looking for Jordan, along with her mother Susan Allen, 51, and the baby's aunt Rockell Hudson, 20.

Search Continues For Missing 6-Month-Old

Saturday January 19, 2013 7:42 AM | UPDATED: Saturday January 19, 2013 8:46 AM

Police are looking for Jordan, along with her mother Susan Allen, 51, and the baby's aunt Rockell Hudson, 20.

Police said they served warrants on Susan Allen and Rockell Hudson at a home on Gay Street around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday. The warrants were served without incident, but Amanda and Nicayla Jordan were not found.

A felony kidnapping warrant has been issued for Amanda Jordan. All of the family members involved also face a charge of interference with custody

But other family members told 10TV that they do not feel Nicayla is in danger.

Her paternal grandmother said Amanda is just trying to keep her child.

“She's running because Children Services is going to take her child. They say she's in danger, and I know for a fact that is incorrect. She is not in danger and never was in any danger,” said Vicky Jordan. “I know for a fact. I'd bet my life on it. Amanda would not hurt that baby.”

Authorities are looking for two vehicles in connection to the case.

The first is a black Talon with Ohio license plate number EOY3704. The second is a gray Jeep Liberty with Ohio license plate FKC3202.

Boys dead after mom allegedly left them in car while having affair

By Stephen Loiaconi
updated 2:49 PM EST, Mon January 21, 2013

•Heather Jensen accused of leaving sons in car with heat on while she had sex nearby
•Boys' deaths ruled accidental, caused by hyperthermia
•Jensen arrested in Florida, awaiting extradition to Colorado

A Colorado woman whose sons died of hyperthermia after allegedly being left in her car while she was having sex in another vehicle has been charged with child abuse and negligent homicide.

Heather Lynn Jensen, 24, was arrested in Fort Myers, Florida Wednesday in connection with the 2012 deaths of 2-year-old William and 4-year-old Tyler Jensen. According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, she has waived extradition in Florida and is being held without bond pending her return to Mesa, Colorado.

The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office would not release details on the status of the extradition and transportation process Friday, citing security concerns.

Heather Jensen arrested in Florida

Heather Lynn Jensen’s booking photo from her April 2012 domestic violence arrest when her late husband, Eric, was the named victim. Eric Jensen died Oct. 10 in a two-car crash in Garfield County. Heather Jensen, 24, was serving probation in connection with the arrest when her sons, William, 2, and Tyler, 4, died after overheating when left alone in their mother’s Toyota 4 Runner on Grand Mesa on Nov. 27.

By Paul Shockley
Wednesday, January 16, 2013

Heather Jensen was having sex with a man — whom she described “having an affair” with — while a witness in the case said she smoked marijuana on the night her children overheated inside her Toyota 4Runner on Grand Mesa, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Moreover, 4-year-old Tyler Jensen, strapped in his carseat with the vehicle’s engine running, was able to open the rear door while authorities believe temperatures were rising to dangerous levels inside. Colten Childers, the man who met Jensen on the night of Nov. 27 near Powderhorn Resort, told investigators he could see the rear-passenger side door of Jensen’s SUV “open several times” as Heather Jensen was in his truck.

“Colten said the door opened as far as (Tyler’s) arm could reach,” the affidavit said.

Jensen waives extradition in Florida court hearing

HEATHER JENSEN: Sons, 2, 4 died after being left in vehicle

By Paul Shockley
Thursday, January 17, 2013

Heather Jensen signed a waiver of extradition this morning during her first court appearance in Florida, according to Lee County, Fla., clerk of courts.

The move potentially clears legal hurdles for her return, in custody, to Mesa County.

Jensen, 24, was also ordered held without bond during her first appearance at 9:30 a.m. (EST), before Lee County Court Judge Leigh Hayes, according to the clerk of courts.

The Mesa County Sheriff’s Department has said transport information involving the jail won’t be released.

Heather Jensen and her sex partner should have BOTH been arrested, IMO.

They should have been charged with indecent exposure in public, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, cild neglect, and homicide.

The sex partner was aware there were two children in the other vehicle. Had he decided to leave, the mother would have attended to her children as she should have.

Charge them BOTH!

Nehemiah Griego, New Mexico Teen Accused Of Murdering Family, Planned Attack In Advance: Police

By SUSAN MONTOYA BRYAN 01/23/13 10:25 AM ET EST

This undated photo provided by Eric Griego shows Nehemiah Griego. Griego is charged with killing five family members, including his father, mother, and three youngest siblings in Albuquerque, N.M.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — For at least a week, 15-year-old Nehemiah Griego had been planning the attack, authorities said.

After shooting his mother and three siblings in their beds, he ambushed his father as the pastor returned home from an overnight shift at a homeless shelter. Then the teen reloaded the family's rifles.

His plan was to randomly shoot people at a Wal-Mart on Saturday, which happened to be "Guns Across America" day, until he could be killed in a shootout with law enforcement, according to authorities.

He also contemplated killing his 12-year-old girlfriend's parents, Bernalillo County Sheriff Dan Houston said Tuesday.

" The jury’s decision could've had implications for other user-generated websites like Facebook and YouTube because it opens the door for users to sue sites over material posted by other users."

IIRC, this man is dirty.
He was the one who did the autopsy on Anna Nicole Smith. And his son ran an abortion mill busted by the state for improper disposal of aborted fetuses.

" I met at least three times with Broward County Medical Examiner Joshua Perper. "

IIRC, Giancana had a son (Joseph?) who had his marriage vows to his wife, Penny, renewed at the Hard Rock and Anna Nicole Smith was a bridesmaid. A few years later, at the same location, Anna Nicole Smith will be found drugged-dead.

"Her large walk-in closet was lined with hundreds of ball gowns and dresses, each covered in plastic and labeled with the date and event that she wore it: President Kennedy's inauguration. Gangster Sam Giancana's daughter's wedding."

Atop a landfill in Menomonee Falls, police detectives, equipment operators and dog handlers began a daunting task Monday - digging and sifting through tons of compacted garbage looking for the body of a slaying victim last seen nearly a month ago.

Five men have been charged in the death of Evon Young, 22, on Jan. 2 at a home he shared with one of the men near N. 52nd St and W. Custer Ave.

(snipped)

The men charged with killing Young are scheduled to appear in court Thursday for a preliminary hearing. All face counts of first-degree intentional homicide as parties to a crime.

http://www.twincities.com/wisconsin/ci_22438262/missing-transgender-rapper-is-apparent-victim-milwaukee-gang

Instead, the complaints say, the others took Young to the basement, choked Young with a chain and taped a plastic bag over Young's head while Mcalister held a gun. After Young passed out, the group beat Young with tools. Griffin said he couldn't take watching and returned upstairs but later heard the others say they wanted to make sure Young was dead, then three gunshots.

The group later cleaned his basement with bleach, he told police, rolled Young's body up in a sheet and took it to Stewart's car, then to a trash bin at 8100 N. 84th St.

By Jeff Black and M. Alex Johnson, NBC News

Updated at 12:15 a.m. ET:

A man boarded a school bus driver Tuesday afternoon, shot the bus driver three times and then grabbed a 6-year-old and fled the scene, authorities said, according to The Associated Press.

The Dale County Sheriff in southeastern Alabama told WBMA-TV that the man demanded a child be let off the bus with him. When the driver refused, police said, the man shot the driver.

Boy held hostage in bunker after being snatched from school bus

Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

By Erin McClam and Alastair Jamieson, NBC News

An Alabama man boarded a school bus, shot and killed the driver, took a boy hostage and was holding the child early Wednesday in an underground bunker, authorities and witnesses said.

Witnesses told WSFA, the NBC station in Montgomery,
Ala., that the man was talking to authorities through a PVC pipe. The station reported that the child, age 5 or 6, was not hurt but that authorities were calling the situation delicate.

The Dothan Eagle newspaper quoted a neighbor, Michael Creel, as saying that the shooter was 67 years old. Creel described the bunker as a “homemade bomb shelter,” roughly 4 feet wide, 6 feet long and 8 feet deep and covered by several feet of sand.

Body believed to be Sarah Majoras’ found in D&R canal in Lambertville

By SCOTT KETTERER

LAMBERTVILLE — Sad news for two Delaware River communities came Wednesday evening as the discovery friends and family dreaded was confirmed.

At 6 p.m. Wednesday evening Prosecutor Anthony Kearns said they recovered a body that matched the description of 39-year-old Sarah Majoras in the D&R canal near the lock just south of Bridge Street.

~Snipped~

Wednesday’s discovery came shortly after a boot matching the description of those worn by Majoras was observed among the ice in the canal, at 4:50 p.m., a body matching the description of the 39-year-old was pulled from the canal.

Police had put up an orange tarp to shield the public from the early evening discovery, one that brings a sad end to a search where many had remained hopeful that the popular bartender would be found alive.

The case is far from solved, however. The Hunterdon County Prosecutors office is still seeking the public’s help to figure out what happened to Majoras.

___________

The following information is from Blink On Crime:

"Majoras was last seen crossing the bridge connecting New Hope to Lambertville, presumably headed to her N. Union St apartment. Surveillance video of Sarah crossing the E. Bridge St walkway over the Delaware River to Lambert Lane has confirmed Majoras made it to the other side at approximately 2:30 am Saturday morning.

Adam Baker, Sarah’s live-in boyfriend, called police at 2PM Saturday to report her missing. Baker is a moving and relocation business owner with a registered address located 300 feet from John and Peter’s Bar.

Baker is no stranger to missing person’s cases. In October 2000, a friend of Baker’s on his way to visit with him ended up missing after crossing the very same canal. David Anderson was recovered 4 days later in the Delaware Canal spillway. An autopsy of Anderson was inconclusive and the details of the circumstances surrounding his death are scarce."

Search continues for Lambertville woman; eerie coincidence to 2000 death

"Majoras’ disappearance on her walk back to Lambertville from John & Peter’s was somewhat similar to the 2000 disappearance of David Anderson, a Bucks musician. Anderson’s body was found in the canal on the New Jersey side of the Delaware two days after he left John & Peter’s and crossed the bridge into Lambertville in the middle of the night.

John & Peter’s general manager Patty Gabriel said that Anderson performed occasionally at the club and was a friend of both Majoras and the missing woman’s boyfriend Adam Baker."

Gabriel said that Anderson had fallen into the canal.

Alabama bunker hostage boy’s family is ‘holding on by a thread’

By Erin McClam and Matthew DeLuca, NBC News

Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

The family of an Alabama boy abducted from his school bus and being held in an underground bunker is “holding on by a thread,” a state representative said Thursday as the hostage drama stretched into a third day.

The boy, a 5-year-old named Ethan, is receiving necessary medication and appears to be calm and doing well, a state senator said.

The child was kidnapped Tuesday after school when a man stormed the bus and demanded the driver hand over young children. When the driver refused, the man shot and killed him and grabbed the boy, authorities said.

A source close to the investigation identified the suspected gunman to NBC News as Jimmy Lee Dykes, 65, and said that he was a loner and survivalist who “does not trust the government” and holds “anti-American views.”

PEORIA, AZ (CBS5) -

The remains were found on Feb. 6 in a desert area south of State Route 74 and mile marker 17 in northern Peoria.

On Friday, the remains were positively identified using dental records as 54-year-old Deborah Lee Delaney, of Peoria, who suspiciously vanished from her home in April 2011.

Her husband, 56-year-old William Delaney, was identified as the only suspect in both the disappearance and probable murder of his wife, police said. William Delaney was a retired Sun City Fire Department and Montezuma/Rim Rock firefighter and paramedic.

State: Pistorius committed premeditated murder

15 FEB 2013 08:59 - SAPA, REUTERS

Oscar Pistorius broke down in tears in court after hearing he had been charged with the murder of Reeva Steenkamp

The state intends charging the double amputee with pre-meditated murder after the death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, the Pretoria Magistrate's Court heard on Friday.

"Is the state's argument pre-meditated murder?" asked Magistrate Desmond Nair.

"Yes," said prosecutor advocate Gerrie Nel.

A man, believed to be Pistorius, was sitting in the back seat of a police van, his head covered in a jacket, when he arrived at the court earlier
