Robert Shapiro ADMITS to trying on OJ Simpson evidence glove during trial before football star put it on in front of the jury in his first interview about the case in 20 years

".....That moment was a part of the recent FX miniseries American Crime Story: The People V. OJ Simpson.

During a recess in the case one morning, Shapiro (played by John Travolta) is seen walking up to the witness box where the gloves have been laid out.

After looking at the gloves he picks them up and tries them on, realizing almost immediately they will not fit his hands....."

Foul Play Not Ruled out in Disappearance of Texas Mother of Three Bianca Carrasco

by Rachael Trost

Bianca Carrasco | Photo: San Antonio Police Department

Things were not normal in Bianca Carrasco's life in the week prior to her disappearance.

"There are a lot of things happening behind the scenes that are troubling," Jovanna Burney, Bianca's older sister, told Dateline. "And now she's been gone three weeks."

Bianca, 29, was last seen on Sunday, May 1, at her home in San Antonio, Texas. The details of what transpired that night, though, are fuzzy at best.

It was clear things were amiss when Bianca did not show up for work as an oncology nurse on the Monday and Tuesday.

According to a police report, Bianca and her husband had an argument the evening of her disappearance. There are differing stories as to whether Bianca left on foot, or if it was her husband who left, taking their youngest child, heading several hours north to Odessa where he works. Bianca's husband has not yet returned Dateline's request for comment.

Michelle O’Connell, 24 yo, 2010. Florida
Suicide now being ruled homicide

"....But, according to the report compiled by Dr Anderson and with the help of two dental experts, her mandible, or jaw bone, was virtually snapped in two before the fatal gun shot.

They also found that the way the gun was placed in her mouth, O’Connell would have been gagging and could even have been choking.

The autopsy states the jaw was broken by blunt-force trauma, suggesting she could have been punched in the face or pistol whipped just before she died.

At the end of the report, the conclusion plainly states: ’The manner of death should be considered Homicide.’ ...."

Bill Cosby WILL STAND trial on sex assault charges after judge hears rape accuser's claims actor told her to drink wine and take 'herbal medication' to relax before unconscious assault

".....Bill Cosby is heading to trial on charges he sexually assaulted a woman over a decade ago.

The disgraced comedian, 78, learned the news inside a Norristown, Pennsylvania courtroom on Tuesday after Montgomery County prosecutors spent the morning presenting their case to the judge and laying out why they believe they have enough evidence to send the case to trial.

Cosby decided to waive his right to a formal arraignment after the judge's decision, which would have taken place on July 20.

Cosby is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his mansion in January 2004 and is facing three felony counts of aggravated indecent assault.

If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.

The prosecution decided not to call Cosby's accuser to the stand on Tuesday, instead having Detective Katherine Hart read the affidavit Constand gave when she reported the alleged assault by Cosby.

That decision later led Cosby's lawyer Brian McMonagle to call the proceedings a 'travesty of justice.'

Leaving the courtroom McMonagle said; 'They had 12 years to bring a case, they didn't. And what [the prosecution] presented today was evidence of nothing.

'They had 12 years to bring an accuser to confront Mr. Cosby, they chose not to.

'There was no evidence of a crime here. And the inconsistencies that plagued this investigation from the beginning continue to plague it now. This case should end immediately.'....."

Q: Did you give her quaaludes?

A: Yes.

Q: What effect did the quaaludes have on her?

A: She became in those days what was called high.

Q: She said that she believes she was not in the position to consent to intercourse after you gave her the drug. Do you believe that is correct?

A: I don't know. ... How many years ago are we talking about? 197(6)? ... I meet Ms. Picking in Las Vegas. She meets me backstage. I give her quaaludes. We then have sex.

COSBY DISCUSSING THE TEENAGE MODEL HE HAD A SEXUAL ENCOUNTER WITH

Q: She says that just days after ... she told you that she did not drink, you told her to come over to (your townhouse) and served her amaretto. Do you recall serving her amaretto?

A: No.

Q: That you told her to sit next to you on the couch and that you put your arm around her and began massaging her shoulder and arms suggestively. Did that occur? ... This occurred sometime after you met her parents.

A: I need clarification on time.

Q: She's 17 and I believe throughout the time she knows you she becomes 18 or 19.

Q: On a later occasion you had her masturbate you with lotion. Did that ever happen?

A: Yes.

Q: (She) used the lotion to rub your penis and make you ejaculate?

A: Bingo.

A: No, she was down.

Q: Did she fall asleep?

A: Yes.

Q: What did you do when she fell asleep?

A: I got up.

Q: Did you engage in any type of sexual contact with her while you were on the couch?

A: No.

Q. Are you aware that the woman's statement was that on the night of the dinner at your New York townhouse, "At some point Cosby and the woman were sitting on a sofa and Cosby was massaging her back?"

A: Yes.

Q: "Cosby then lowered his pants in an effort to receive oral sex?"

A: "In an effort to receive oral sex," that did not happen.

Lisa Davis lives about a mile away from the hospital and told WTRV that her neighbors were calling each other to make sure everybody was OK.

“A lot of people did not feel safe at all,” she added to the station.

Beech Grove Police Capt. Robert Mercuri said, “We’re sorry people were startled. We hope they understand that the city of Beech Grove was trying to help the people who protect us every day.”

Police added to the station that too much notice about the middle-of-the-night noises may have compromised the exercise, WRTV said, adding that more exercises may be coming this week...."

Lawyers for day care worker back in court seeking to undo murder verdict

By Tony Briscoe and Susan Berger
Chicago Tribune

April 26, 2016, 10:51 AM

ttorneys for a former suburban day care worker found guilty of murder in a child's death appeared in Lake County court Tuesday morning as a judge considers whether to advance their efforts to overturn her conviction.

Judge Daniel Shanes, who oversaw the 2011 trial that ended with Melissa Calusinski being convicted of first-degree murder, did not rule on whether he will allow a hearing on what her lawyers say is new evidence in the case.

Shanes said he has a stack of legal filings "a foot and a half" high to go through before he rules, but he set another hearing for June 13.

Calusinski's attorneys say X-rays discovered in the Lake County coroner's office last year show that the boy who died in 2009 after being in her care — 16-month-old Benjamin Kingan, of Deerfield — passed away as a result of pre-existing head injuries.

Perp: Nathaniel Kibby, Laconia, NH
Man admits to kidnapping, raping teenage girl; gets 45-90 years

8:52 PM, May 26, 2016

"....Nathaniel Kibby pleaded guilty to kidnapping, aggravated felonious sex assault and criminal threatening, and prosecutors asked for a sentence of 45 to 90 years in prison for him.

Kibby, who had pleaded not guilty shortly after his arrest, had been scheduled to go on trial next month on nearly 200 felony charges related to the girl's October 2013 disappearance and the months that followed. But he changed his plea to guilty at a hearing on Thursday.

Before the 35-year-old Kibby could enter his new plea, a prosecutor said Kibby had kidnapped the girl by offering her a ride home from her school and then brandishing a gun when she attempted to get out of his car.

Prosecutor Jane Young said the girl and Kibby didn't know each other and she accepted the ride because she'd worn boots to school and her feet were blistered. Young said when the girl tried to get out of the car in a parking lot Kibby pulled out the gun and threatened to "blow her brains out."

Kibby also pleaded guilty to witness tampering and other offenses. ...."

".....SOLVANG, Calif. (AP) — A young man suspected of abducting a teenage girl in Northern California was killed Thursday after leading sheriff's deputies on a high-speed chase and engaging in a shootout, authorities said, while the search for the girl continued.

Fernando Castro, 19, whose car had been the subject of an Amber Alert for 15-year-old Pearl Pinson, exchanged gunfire with deputies at a Santa Barbara County mobile home park more than 300 miles to the south, Solano County Sheriff Thomas Ferrara said.

The missing girl, 15-year-old Pearl Pinson of Vallejo, had still not been found hours after the shootout, Ferrara said. Authorities have been frantically searching for Pinson since a witness reported hearing a girl screaming for help as a man dragged her across a freeway overpass in Vallejo on Wednesday morning....."

By Steve Rubenstein Updated 6:23 pm, Wednesday, May 25, 2016

Flowers in hair
She was from a family of means, as indicated by the high-end coffin and by the fancy sealing job by the undertaker that preserved her skin and hair and her burial flowers. She looks, through the two glass windows of the coffin, like a young girl and not like the 145-year-old remains of one.

Clutched in her right hand is the rose. Weaved in her curly blond hair are lavender flowers. Placed over her heart is a cross made of more lavender. Lying beside her are eucalyptus leaves.

“She’s wearing a long white dress,” said Elissa Davey, the founder of the Garden of Innocence charity that, for two decades, has buried the bodies of unidentified children in California. Davey estimates that the girl died about 145 years ago because the cemetery was active from 1860 to 1890. ...."

Officials: Woman's body found tied to cinder block in pond

EAST COVENTRY TWP., Pa. -- Police are investigating after a woman's body was discovered tied to a cinder block in a popular swimming and fishing hole northwest of Philadelphia, reports CBS Philly.

Around 11:15 a.m. Monday, a passerby reported seeing a body in a pond in East Coventry Township, according to the station. Officials who responded didn't realize the body was tied to a cinder block until they tried to remove it.

Children had been swimming in the pond Sunday afternoon, so the body had been deposited sometime after that, the district attorney's office said.

Remains of Missing 15-Year-Old Texas Girl Found Under Sink in Abandoned Apartment

Karen Perez

By Chris Harris @chrisharrisment 06/01/2016 AT 12:00 PM EDT

The body of a missing 15-year-old girl has been recovered from an abandoned apartment building in South Houston, Texas, – and a 15-year-old boy stands accused of her murder, PEOPLE has learned.

According to Texas EquuSearch, a group of trained volunteers that travel the nation to assist in missing persons cases, the remains of Karen Perez were found Monday night, concealed beneath a sink in a deserted residential complex.

A police spokesman tells PEOPLE that a teenage boy has been detained in connection with Perez's slaying, but investigators are not releasing the his name because he is a juvenile.

~Snipped~

Perez went missing May 27 after leaving South Houston High School with her ex-boyfriend and another male, the spokesman explains.

That school is located directly across the street from the the abandoned complex where Texas EquuSearch volunteers discovered her corpse late Monday.

Perez can be seen in surveillance video walking into a store with the two males, police note. They would not comment on whether either of the two men in the video was the 15-year-old who is charged with Perez's murder.

Stanford swimmer gets jailed only 6 months for raping unconscious woman

PALO ALTO, Calif. — A six-month jail term for a former Stanford University swimmer convicted of sexually assaulting an unconscious woman on campus after both attended a fraternity party is being decried as a slap on the wrist.

Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Aaron Persky sentenced 20-year-old Brock Turner to six months in county jail and three years’ probation after the woman who was assaulted read the court an emotional statement that has gone viral. Turner must also complete a sex offender management program and register as a convicted sex offender for the rest of his life.

In her statement, the woman described how the attack left her emotionally scarred.

“My independence, natural joy, gentleness, and steady lifestyle I had been enjoying became distorted beyond recognition. I became closed off, angry, self-deprecating, tired, irritable, empty,” she said

‘You took away my worth’: A sexual assault victim’s powerful message to her Stanford attacker

The case came to a close Thursday when the judge sentenced Turner to six months in county jail and then probation, and ordered him to register as a sex offender over three sexual assault convictions: assault with the intent to commit rape, sexual penetration with a foreign object of an intoxicated person and sexual penetration with a foreign object of an unconscious person, according to Palo Alto Online.

The newspaper reported that when handing down Turner’s sentence, the judge in the case said he understood the “devastation” the victim suffered, but he feared imprisonment would have a “severe” impact on Turner.

Then the victim stood in the packed courtroom in Palo Alto and delivered what Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen called “the most eloquent, powerful and compelling piece of victim advocacy that I’ve seen in my 20 years as a prosecutor,” according to Palo Alto Online.

Former Stanford swimmer convicted of rape gets ‘slap on the wrist sentence’ of six months for three felonies

Brock Turner, 20, received a sentence of six months in county jail Thursday rather than the six years in state prison called for by prosecutors. (KNTV-TV)

A former Stanford University swimmer convicted of rape was sentenced Thursday to six months in county jail in a ruling decried as a slap on the wrist.

A jury found Brock Turner, 20, guilty in March on felony charges of assault with intent to commit rape of an intoxicated or unconscious person, penetration of an intoxicated person and penetration of an unconscious person.

Investigators said two witnesses caught Turner, a one-time All-American, sexually assaulting the unresponsive woman behind a dumpster on the Stanford campus in January 2015.

His victim recounted the assault in harrowing testimony Thursday, and prosecutors asked for a sentence of six years in state prison. Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen slammed the lighter jail term.

“The punishment does not fit the crime,” Rosen said in a statement. “The predatory offender has failed to take responsibility, failed to show remorse and failed to tell the truth. The sentence does not factor in the true seriousness of this sexual assault, or the victim’s ongoing trauma. Campus rape is no different than off-campus rape. Rape is rape. And I will prosecute it as such.”

Yet Superior Court Judge Aaron Persky said in handing down the sentence that Turner had no prior criminal history, The San Jose Mercury News reported. Turner, whose character was praised in letters to the judge, plans to start a course for college students on binge drinking culture, and both he and his victim were drunk the night of Jan. 18, 2015, Persky said.

‘A steep price to pay for 20 minutes of action': Dad defends Stanford sex offender

The Washington Post
Michael E. Miller

Public outrage over the lenient sentencing of a star Stanford swimmer convicted of sexual assault has been compounded by a controversial letter written by the athlete’s father.

Brock Turner was convicted in March of sexually assaulting an unconscious woman at a fraternity party in January 2015 at the elite university. He faced up to 14 years in prison. Prosecutors asked for six.

Instead, Turner received only six months in jail and three years of probation after a judge worried that a stiffer sentence would have a “severe impact” on the 20-year-old.

That fury intensified Sunday as critics slammed a letter written by Turner’s father as oblivious, “tone-deaf” and “impossibly offensive.”

“His life will never be the one that he dreamed about and worked so hard to achieve,” Dan A. Turner wrote in a letter arguing that his son should receive probation, not jail time. “That is a steep price to pay for 20 minutes of action out of his 20 plus years of life.”

“He will never be his happy go lucky self with that easy going personality and welcoming smile,” the letter says, noting that the former Olympic hopeful is now a registered sex offender.

Brock Allen Turner was convicted of three counts of sexual assault in March, according to The Guardian. Two grad students reportedly saw him “thrusting” on top of an unconscious woman behind a dumpster outside a fraternity party in January 2015. The two students said they were bicycling past when they saw the incident, and intervened. The students then held Turner until police arrived.

Turner, who competed at the 2012 Olympic trials, was convicted of assault with intent to commit rape of an intoxicated woman, sexually penetrating an intoxicated person with a foreign object, and sexually penetrating an unconscious person with a foreign object.

Christopher Plaskon (r.), with attorney Edward Gavin, was sentenced to 25 years in prison. (Ned Gerard/AP

A Connecticut teen who stabbed a classmate to death because she rejected his junior prom invitation was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Christopher Plaskon, 19, was sentenced Monday in Milford Superior Court.

Plaskon's attorney, Edward Gavin, speaking to reporters following the sentencing, called the situation "a senseless tragedy that was driven here by Christopher's psychosis."

Plaskon initially pleaded not guilty to attacking 16-year-old Maren Sanchez — but later changed his plea to no contest.

The attack occurred on April 25, 2014 in the hallway of Jonathan Law High School. Plaskon cut his victim's throat and body until school staffers intervened.

Maren Sanchez, 16, was killed in the attack. (Facebook)

Sanchez, a National Honor Society member, was involved in drama and other school activities. She planned on attending the dance with her new boyfriend.

Under a juvenile justice law passed last year, Plaskon could be parole-eligible after serving 60% of his sentence, or 15 years. He's credited with serving two years of his sentence so far.

By Chris Harris @chrisharrisment 06/06/2016 AT 12:20 PM EDT

Police in Doral, Florida, are looking for a 43-year-old woman and her 9-year-old daughter, who've been missing for more than a week, PEOPLE confirms.

On Friday, officers found the girl's distraught father Gustavo Castano sitting in a truck parked outside the same Miami-area Home Depot where he told investigators he'd allegedly dropped Liliana Moreno, 43, and her 9-year-old daughter, Daniela, off on the morning on May 30.

Police claim Castano's body was riddled with self-inflicted knife wounds. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment, according to investigators.

Officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the disappearances of the woman and her daughter and no charges have been filed in the case, a police spokeswoman tells PEOPLE.

Police have recovered Moreno's purse, wallet and car, which they found at her Doral apartment.

Castano is considered a person of interest in this missing persons case, the spokeswoman confirms.

Florida mom takes on daughter’s would-be kidnapper (WTVT)

CITRUS COUNTY, FL — This is crazy and downright terrifying! Video shows a Florida mom wrestling her daughter from the arms of a would-be kidnapper.

Deputies say the man — now identified as Craig Bonello — scoped out the 13-year-old girl as she shopped with her mom inside a Dollar General Store, then grabbed her and tried to make a run for it.

21 New ‘Clinton Cash’ Revelations That Have Imperiled Hillary Clinton’s Campaign

"..... As CNN’s John King put it on Sunday, “You can’t go 20 minutes in this town, it seems, without some sort of a story about Clinton Foundation that gives you a little bit of the creeps.”...."

".....Yet as the nation’s largest news organizations began to confirm finding after finding, the Clinton campaign did the only thing it could: it gave up in its attempts to refute the swelling avalanche of now well-established facts. Indeed, the Clinton campaign’s last video response on its “The Briefing” YouTube page is dated May 5th—Clinton Cash’s official launch date.

To date, Hillary Clinton has yet to substantively answer a single question from the mountain of Clinton Cash questions that continue to pile up with each passing day.

The result: according to Tuesday’s CNN poll, the “Clinton Cash Effect” has rendered Hillary Clinton historic new lows in her favorability with American voters.

Below we chronicle just 21 of the myriad Clinton Cash-related revelations that have emerged since the book’s publication—all of which have been confirmed and verified as accurate by national media organizations....."

HRC is NOT the first female. And that does not mean she will be the best candidate at this time. (Where is Golda M. when you need her?)

Politics:Campaign Styles

".....To get a sense of how the Republican and Democratic primaries differed, Bloomberg News consulted with a media tracking firm and asked, “How many dollars of negative ads were run versus Donald Trump in the Republican primary, and how many were run against Hillary Clinton?”

“The disparity could not have been more striking,” he said. “Sixty-two million dollars in ads run against Trump, zero in attack ads run against Clinton.” ..."

"......Green thought this was not necessarily good news for the Democrats.

“I think there are two schools of thought on this,” he said, adding:

If you talk to Republican strategists, they will say, “Look, Hillary Clinton has had zero dollars in negative ads run against her, and her favorability numbers are only marginally better than Trump’s. Once we start running ads, they’re gonna fall even further, and she’s in real trouble.”,,,:

Gun Control: California

"....The case–PERUTA V. CTY. OF SAN DIEGO–was filed by concealed permit applicants who think the “good cause” requirement infringed their Second Amendment rights in San Diego and Yolo Counties. On February 13, 2014, the Ninth Circuit panel sided with the Plaintiffs, ruling that the right to keep and bear arms is, in and of itself, a sufficient cause for bearing arms for self-defense. Moreover, that it is a sufficient cause both inside and outside of one’s domicile.

The San Francisco Chronicle quoted from Judge Diarmuid O’Scannlain’s majority opinion, in which he emphasized that “the right to bear arms includes the right to carry an operable arm outside the home for the lawful purpose of self-defense.”

But the en banc ruling went in the opposite direction, upholding the “good cause” requirement and unequivocally stating that Americans have no right to carry a concealed gun outside the home for self-defense. Writing in the majority opinion, Judge Williams Fletcher said, “We hold that the Second Amendment does not preserve or protect a right of a member of the general public to carry concealed firearms in public.”...."

http://www.breitbart.com/california/2016/06/09/9th-circuit/

In the past, the courts have found our basic Freedoms , ie, of speech, religion, etc., are NOT limited to the home. This is rather twisted interpretation of their own ruling.

Lane Graves. Nebraska

"...LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) -- The body of a 2-year-old Nebraska boy who was snatched off a Walt Disney World beach by an alligator and dragged underwater was recovered Wednesday, ending a ghastly search at one of the world's most popular tourist destinations.

Divers found the body of Lane Graves of Elkhorn, Nebraska, about 16 hours after authorities first got the call that a reptile had taken the boy at Seven Seas Lagoon, Sheriff Jerry Demings said. The child's father tried to save him but couldn't...."

"....While "no swimming" signs are posted at the beach where the animal snatched the boy, no signs warn about alligators...."

Forgive me for asking:
Was the child able to read the sign?
Was the sign visible at night for the parents to read?
Why is Disney stocking alligators at a resort known to have children, elderly, etc. attending their business?

Despite the above story stating the low incidence of alligator killings, there have been TWO this year so far:

Police: Couple gave daughter to man as thanks

"....FEASTERVILLE, Pa. (AP/WTXF) -- A couple is accused of child endangerment after police say they gave away their 14-year-old daughter to a man who helped them financially. The friend's charged with sexually assaulting the teen, who had two children with him.

Officials acting on a tip Thursday found 51-year-old Lee Kaplan at his Feasterville home, along with 12 girls ranging in age from six months to 18 years.

Sources say Kaplan connected with the large Amish family who were about to lose their farm. The parents allegedly offered their oldest daughter, who was 14 at the time, as a gift to Kaplan. The girl, now 18, told police she and Kaplan have a 3-year-old and a six-month-old....."

'Star Trek’ Actor Anton Yelchin Dies at 27

Anton Yelchin

By Brent Lang and Alex Stedman

June 19, 2016

Anton Yelchin, known for roles in “Star Trek” and “Alpha Dog,” died early Sunday morning in a freak accident, a spokeswoman confirmed to Variety. He was 27.

“Actor Anton Yelchin was killed in a fatal traffic collision early this morning,” said a statement from his representative. “His family requests you respect their privacy at this time.”

The LAPD said he was pinned by his own car at his Studio City home. Friends apparently became concerned when Yelchin did not show up for a band performance. They found him at his home pinned between his car and a brick mailbox pillar.

“It appears he had exited his car and was behind it when the vehicle rolled down a steep driveway,” the LAPD said in a statement.

Police reportedly told TMZ that the engine was still running when he was found, and that his car was in neutral. It’s not clear why he got out of his car with the engine running.

Bungling officials 'left gun criminal free to commit murder' after attaching GPS ankle tracker to his prosthetic leg

Quincy Green, 34, fitted with tracker in April after arrest on gun charge
The following month he allegedly shot Dana Hamilton, 44, dead

"......When Dana Hamilton was shot to death in Washington DC last month, it didn't take long for a witness to point the finger at career criminal Quincy Green.

The only problem was that a GPS tracker fitted to Green back in April after a gun arrest showed he was at home, a mile away from where the murder took place.

But that seemingly airtight alibi quickly unraveled after officers discovered bungling officials had the fitted the tag to Green's prosthetic leg - meaning he was able to remove it by taking the limb off.

An investigation has now been launched into the company which fits the trackers, Sentinel Services of California, after a spokesman admitted that protocol was 'absolutely not' followed....."

'I do a lot of good things': Son of Sam serial killer tells parole board he has found his 'calling' as his freedom is denied for the 15th time

".....One of New York's most infamous serials killers said during a recent parole board hearing that he views himself as a model inmate and is helping others behind bars with 'kindness and compassion.'

David Berkowitz, who is also known as 'Son of Sam,' appeared for his 15th parole hearing in May pleading with board as to why he should be released.

The 63-year-old pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole in June of 1978 for killing six people and wounding seven others during bloody shooting attacks in New York City between 1976 and 1977.

Berkowitz eluded police for quite some time, leaving brazen letters mocking the authorities.

He was busted by police officers at his home in Yonkers on August 10, 1977. They were tipped off after his car was ticketed near the scene of his last shooting.

At the time, he confessed to all of the killings and claimed to cops that he was following the orders of a demon who was manifested in the form of a dog named Harvey that was owned by his neighbor named Sam....."

EPSTEIN:Investigation

EXCLUSIVE: Fully-equipped dentist chair, close-ups of young girls' backsides and a teddy by his bed: Creepy images and video from inside the mansion of Clinton and Prince Andrew friend, pedophile Jeffrey Epstein

"....Eventually Epstein pleaded guilty to a single charge of soliciting an under-age prostitute and was sentenced to 18 months in prison, in a deal that was heavily criticized as being overly lenient. He served 13 months and had to register as a sex offender.

Lawyer Kuvin told Daily Mail Online: 'Forty potential victims were identified in this case and he served a little over a year in a county lock-up. Other criminals who have done this to just one girl receive far harsher sentences, often of five to ten years.

'This has always been a case of hide-the-ball,' he added. 'Epstein used to work at Bear Stearns,' he said referring to the investment bank that crashed triggering the 2008 depression.

'I have often thought he traded information with the federal government. Either that or he used his extensive list of contacts in both the financial and political world to garner favor.' ....."

"....Kuvin said he would like Roberts' case to go to court so the US attorney's office is 'forced to air its dirty laundry — and they won't like to do that'.

'It always seemed odd to me that the feds never seemed to care what the victims thought about what was happening — they had no meaningful discussions with them at all.,' he said ...."

EPSTEIN, Jeffrey
Sex offender

Lawsuit seeks to expose, unravel plea deal for billionaire sex offender
July 18, 2016

".....Palm Beach billionaire Jeffrey Epstein could face new criminal charges if lawyers for his alleged former teen “sex slaves” succeed in an unusual effort to overturn a 2008 plea deal that gave him house arrest, despite accusations he pimped the girls out to his rich and powerful friends.

Attorneys for two of the 30 girls Epstein, 63, allegedly prostituted on his private jet, in his Florida mansion and at his private island hideaway are attempting to open up - and potentially overturn - the government’s secretive agreement with Epstein that critics say left him with just a slap on the wrist for pleading guilty to soliciting an underage girl for prostitution.

If they succeed, many of Epstein’s powerful friends could find themselves in the public spotlight.

“This is absolutely a groundbreaking case,” said Meg Garvin, executive director at the Oregon-based National Crime Victim Law Institute. “The victims are fighting to truly make victims’ rights meaningful  –  to ensure that victims are informed and have a voice at every critical decision point.” ...."

"...A subsequent investigation by the FBI allegedly found Epstein had paid at least 30 girls ages 14 to 17 to “engage in illegal sexual activities.” That probe resulted in an 82-page prosecution memorandum and a 53-page indictment against Epstein and his female staff members. . ...."

"....“The victims’ attorneys are alleging the government conspired with the defendant’s attorneys to circumvent their rights,” Lawson said. “This flies in the face of the Crime Victims Rights Act, and it shows bad faith on both parties -- the defendant’s attorneys and the government attorneys.” ...."

John Hinckley, Jr:

"....In March 2011, it was reported that a forensic psychologist at the hospital testified that "Hinckley has recovered to the point that he poses no imminent risk of danger to himself or others".[21] On March 29, 2011, the day before the 30th anniversary of the assassination attempt, Hinckley's attorney filed a court petition requesting more freedom for his client, including additional unsupervised visits to the Virginia home of Hinckley's mother, Joanne.[23] On November 30, 2011, a hearing in Washington was held to consider whether he could live full-time outside the hospital. The Justice Department opposed this, stating that Hinckley still poses a danger to the public. Justice Department counsel argued that Hinckley had been known to deceive his doctors in the past.[24][25] ...."

"... On July 27, 2016, a federal judge ruled that Hinckley would be allowed to be released from St. Elizabeth's on August 5,[28] as he was no longer considered a threat to himself or others. The conditions of his release are that he has no contact with the Reagan family or Jodie Foster. He will live with his 90-year-old mother and be restricted to a 50-mile zone around her home in Williamsburg, Virginia.[28][29][30][31]..."

But there was this:
"....In 1999, Hinckley was permitted to leave the hospital for supervised visits with his parents; he was granted longer unsupervised releases in 2000.[4][20] These privileges were revoked when he was found to have smuggled materials about Foster into the hospital.   ..."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Hinckley_Jr.

He will be living with his 90 rs old  mother outside DC..
How much supervision can she provide for him?
Yeah...
The Wiki article is most interesting.

George Bush and John Hinkley family:

"....John Hinkley and the Reagan assassination attempt is one of the hugest non-stories ever to be whitewashed from American history.

Why? Because John Hinckley was the son of a very significant Texas oil family. Not only was his father, John Sr, a major donor to George H.W. Bush’s presidential campaign in 1980 (he was defeated for the G.O.P. nomination, but chosen as Reagan’s running mate) but the Hinckley and Bush families were close friends. The night after the assassination attempt Hinckley’s brother Scott and his wife was due to have dinner with Neil Bush–the Vice President’s son.

If Hinckley had been a better shot the ambitious George Bush would have found himself in the top job. ...."

"... George Bush Sr. was in charge of the CIA just after they were exposed for running their mind control assassins program…."

http://www.patheos.com/blogs/standingonmyhead/2015/04/reagan-shooters-links-with-the-bush-clan.html

".... Hinckley’s older brother, Scott, had a dinner date scheduled at the home of Neil Bush, the Vice President’s son, the day after the assassination attempt on Reagan. A March 31, 1981 news headline by Associated Press confirmed this: Bush Son Had Dinner Plans With Hinckley Brother Before Shooting.

George H.W. Bush’s other son, George W. Bush, also admitted to journalists that he may have had dealings with Scott Hinckley who was Vice-President of Vanderbilt Energy, but could not remember either way.

Obviously this is all very circumstantial, but then again...What are the odds that the family of the convicted shooter of the President were intimately tied to the Vice President’s family and were also Texas oil tycoons who part-financed the Vice President’s unsuccessful presidential campaign against the President?..."

"....Maybe the eighth grade pupil at Alice Deal Junior High School, in Washington D.C., accurately summarized the assassination attempt best when responding to a task set all the students the day after the assassination attempt. Asked to express their views on the incident, the pupil told teachers, “It is a plot by Vice President Bush to get into power. If Bush becomes President, the CIA would be in charge of the country.”...."

"....Bush Son Had Dinner Plans With Hinckley Brother Before Shooting
The Associated Press
Domestic News
March 31, 1981, Tuesday, PM cycle
HOUSTON
The family of the man charged with trying to assassinate President Reagan is acquainted with the family of Vice President George Bush and had made large contributions to his political campaign, the Houston Post reported today.

Scott Hinckley, brother of John W. Hinckley Jr., who allegedly shot Reagan, was to have dined tonight in Denver at the home of Neil Bush, one of the vice president's sons.
The newspaper said in a copyright story, Scott Hinckley, brother of John W. Hinckley Jr., who allegedly shot Reagan, was to have dined tonight in Denver at the home of Neil Bush, one of the vice president's sons.

The newspaper said it was unable to reach Scott Hinckley, vice president of his father's Denver-based firm, Vanderbilt Energy Corp., for comment. Neil Bush lives in Denver, where he works for Standard Oil Co. of Indiana.

In 1978, Neil served as campaign manager for his brother, George W. Bush, the vice president's oldest son, who made an unsuccessful bid for Congress. Neil lived in Lubbock throughout much of 1978, where John Hinckley lived from 1974 through 1980.

On Monday, Neil Bush said he did not know if he had ever met 25-year-old John Hinckley.

From what I know and I've heard, they (the Hinckleys) are a very nice family and have given a lot of money to the Bush campaign."

SHARON BUSH
"I have no idea," he said. "I don't recognize any pictures of him. I just wish I could see a better picture of him.

Sharon Bush, Neil's wife, said Scott Hinckley was coming to their house as a date of a girl friend of hers.

"I don't even know the brother. From what I know and I've heard, they (the Hinckleys) are a very nice family and have given a lot of money to the Bush campaign. I understand he was just the renegade brother in the family. They must feel awful," she said.

The dinner was canceled, she added.

George W. Bush said he was unsure whether he had met John W. Hinckley....."

".....The shadow government did not care for Reagan when he first ran for president. He would sometimes speak out against the Trilateral Commission, and other secret government organizations. After winning the White House, Reagan, never known for his detail oriented approach to administering, probably unknowingly allowed his cabinet to be filled with the same shadow government types he campaigned against. However, it was still early in his first term, and the insiders still did not feel comfortable with him in the White House. Bush, the ultimate insider, was someone they could count on. At the very moment the assassination was to take place, Bush was on his way to speak before the globalist/communist Trilateral Commission. Reagan was no fool. He must have at least suspected what was really behind the assassination attempt. Close associates claim he was never the same again after that day. Whatever plans he may have had to go against the wishes of the shadow government ended on March 30 1981. For the remaining 8 years of his presidency, he was, more or less, reduced to doing the will of the secret government....."

Made me think of other cases where computer evidence was used by prosecution to show criminal intent. Hope this is not setting a new precedent.

We might see more of the questioning of the legal terms of law:Intent

Halperin: At Least One Judge Will Use Clinton Non-Indictment To Acquit Other People for Mishandling Classified Info

".....Halperin said, “What the FBI director did was quite extraordinary. He claimed he wanted to be open. He’s not answered questions from the media about what he did. He answered questions from Congress. And now it’s going to be up to a lot of federal judges to decide whether — and prosecutors, to decide whether precedents were set in this case, and I think there will be at least one judge who goes hard after this precedent, and basically says, if Hillary Clinton can get off, other people can get off.” ...."

Gene Wilder, dead

"....LOS ANGELES (AP) — Gene Wilder, the frizzy-haired actor who brought his deft comedic touch to such unforgettable roles as the neurotic accountant in "The Producers" and the deranged animator of "Young Frankenstein," has died. He was 83.

Wilder's nephew said Monday that the actor and writer died late Sunday at his home in Stamford, Connecticut, from complications from Alzheimer's disease.

Jordan Walker-Pearlman said in a statement that Wilder was diagnosed with the disease three years ago, but kept the condition private so as not to disappoint fans.

"He simply couldn't bear the idea of one less smile in the world," Walker-Pearlman said....."
